I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago and experienced many of the emotional and hormonal changes women are rarely prepared for. I created this space to share guidance, support, and resources for life after a hysterectomy.
My journey into this began back in 2006 when a routine checkup threw me a curveball – precancerous cells. Fast forward to 2008, at the age of 45, and I found myself having a total abdominal hysterectomy. The aftermath? Sudden menopause hit me like a freight train with unwelcome companions like night sweats and joint pain.
What Inspired Me to Create this Blog?
The idea behind this blog is simple – I want to share my experiences in the hope that they will bring comfort and courage to women who are either facing a hysterectomy or struggling with life post-surgery. LifeAfterHysterectomy.com is a testament that there’s a bright side after this significant medical journey.
My Mission

I’m not just a storyteller here. I’ve also gone through a hysterectomy myself and have a background in nursing spanning several years. In other words, this blog provides you with a unique combination of professional knowledge and personal experience.
